Scholarships and Bursaries

Langara offers a variety of financial supports to recognize students’ academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and meet their financial needs. There are several awards that students from different programs may be eligible for. The two most common types of awards are:

  • Scholarships: Recognize outstanding students who have achieved high academic standings. Other merit-based awards for community involvement may also be available.
    • Awards have specific criteria that recipients must satisfy, including being a full-time student, have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or higher, and be in good standing with the College.
    • There is one scholarship that you can apply this Spring if you qualify. Please see below.
  • Bursaries: Provide critical support to students in financial need.
    • Bursary recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of nine credits, be in good academic standing, and be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons with proof of status.
    • Recipients will be notified by the third month of classes and funds will be distributed near the end of the term. Bursary funds should not be counted on to pay for tuition or books.
    • Only one application required. Apply by January 12, 2024 at 4:00 pm.
